The Blind Birds / Las aves Ciegas

THE BLIND BIRDS / Fanzine
A short sory written and illustrated by me,
published alongside with Volcán Ediciones in Bogotá city.

"They arrived, hungering, unleashing hordes of creeping insects with dirty and prickly legs. And with their sharp and deafening buzzing, they ravaged every trace of sanity in their wake."
THE FEATHERED HORROR

A metaphorical critique of corruption, abuse and misery, generated by the misuse of power, where ambition is the catalyst for chaos. The Blind Birds are the reflection of the subconscious of those who abuse power, who plague and decimate their own people with the insectoid puppets that serve them.
The purpose of this is to narrate the impacts our society receives through unscrupulous domination and manipulation, inherent in human society. I have always been interested in symbolism and mythology; its way of telling reality through a reflection, sometimes frightening, sometimes sublime.
What better way to vindicate the primordial sense that binds us to the spirits of the world, where our minds beget an animal creature that bears our countenance, soul, our darkest desires and our purest dreams?
