KAMAN SFTR-720 USCG CONCEPT
This is a drone-concept I developed for a personal project.
The design is based on the Flettner-Rotor Concept. It's a intermeshing rotor design that is usually used for heavy duty lifting jobs. The upsides to this type of rotor-design is that the craft can reach higher altitudes without losing much of its lift. Additionally the craft is able to carry more than double of its own weight.
The shape of the craft is inspired by male sea elephants. I wanted to achieve a mammal like appearance.
