Our Story.

Our story started with the origin of coffee... It began in Ethiopia with the Traditional Coffee ceremony. We saw how important the experience of sharing and really tasting the coffee flavors are, and how modern society has forgotten what coffee really is. 

Our fast paced lifestyle has allowed us to accept coffee out of a paper cup. In doing so we have lost the true taste of coffee along with its rich history. Coffee dates back to the 10th Century and through all this time it has been traveling around the world, shared by many different cultures and people from all different backgrounds. Coffee is rich in history and we want to bring it back and let people taste the real coffee flavors.

The Ritual Coffee Brewer!

The Ritual Brewer is designed to bring you only the best tasting coffee. It is a Pour over brewer with a few secrets from the original coffee ceremony in Ethiopia and the Vandola from Costa Rica. 

We want the Ritual to follow the slow food movement, where we preserve culture and respect where things came from. Ritual is an alternative to you fast food version of a coffee.  

The Ritual Brewer is also a locally made and designed product. We make these beautiful products in Cape Town and it is a proudly South African design!

The Experience....

The Ritual Brewer is designed as an experience not just a fast paced espresso! Like they say good things come to those who wait... and this coffee is worth the wait! 

The Ritual is a slower paced method of making coffee but it gives the best flavor and a bit more caffeine. To make your cups of coffee it can take from 2-4 minutes to brew depending on your recipe.

We also designed two small tasting cups to come with every Brewer so that you can enjoy the full experience and share it with a friend or loved one!

The Ritual Coffee Brewer isn't just a pour over...

The design of the Ritual is a beautiful Matt black ceramic with cork  on the sides. The Matt glaze of the ceramic allows the pot to be "flavored". This means that every time you use the Ritual brewer the better the flavor gets! Coffee has natural oils that will protect your pot as well help develop your coffee's true taste. The ceramic used is very durable, and will last you a long time. It doubles up as an insulator to keep your coffee warm. 

The cork is there for Grip and is designed to fit perfect in any bodies hand. The cork also helps protect your hand from any warmth given off from the pot. 

The little secret hole on the back of the pot is designed to develop your coffee flavor. It does this by air-rating your coffee as it pours through allowing the coffee to oxygenate and help your coffee show its true colors! This hole also creates a vacuum so that you will have a smooth pour over.
