A significant part of our construction method was using local and sustainable building materials. This included using fallen trees from the University for our posts, beams, and ceiling boards, allowing the class to observe the life cycle of material inputs by milling all the lumber ourselves. Note the window sills made of raw edge cherry wood.

The building's second iteration is underway, and will be constructed at the UofM campus farm in May 2018. I am working with Prof. Trumpey to coordinate and execute this project, helping to direct a new team of 31 students.
