Some moments stay with me for years. My meeting with the man from ‘Appeal’ was one such moment.
It wasn’t over I wanted to paint him again, but this time a little distorted; a little more convincing. His eyes speaking out --- for some it’s peace, for some it’s hope, and for me it’s begging for sage. The repetition of fingers speak of his urge and need for help that I remember, his desire to be heard. His beard creeping down till his last finger, like the aerial roots of the banyan tree that grow down and around the stem of the host, their growth accelerating once the ground has been reached.

Every human has a different psychology, personality, experiences, journey, wrinkles, and hardship in life. You don’t choose your life, life chooses you. There’s no point asking why life has reserved certain joys or grief, you just accept them and carry on.
An Inkblot test is a psychological test in which a person is shown spots of ink and asked what they look like, as a way of learning about the person’s personality or feelings.
Think of this as a mirror of the mind. What the viewer sees in this work, is as much a reflection of his or her inner mind, than it is of mine.

I'm done talking, I have been through my ups and downs in life and now I have come to realise that talking sometimes has no meaning, they are mere words.
While on my trip to Amritsar I met this guy, asked him if I could click him. He had no reaction; it was neither in acceptance  nor in rejection. he just stood there with this irritable look on his face suggesting me to clear his way.
Life is so ironic. It takes sadness to know what happiness is, noise to appreciate silence & absence to value presence.
