My dear friend Nikhil from Only Much Louder told me about this crowd-funded alternative rock gig that he was a part of and asked me to do a gig poster for them. The USP of this enterprise was that one could pay what they wanted to watch the show. The gig was a statement to the fact that one does not need corporate sponsors to play a gig with some kickass music. This was the first time that such a show was being put up in Bombay and I wanted to contribute in my way to make the gig a success.
Borrowing from the DIY ethic of the gig, I decided to hand-letter / stencil the poster, using as little from the internet as possible. So I went about busting out my dormant Wacom tablet and working on this project which turned out to be quite an enjoyable experience.
