In the Varmun series, numerous life fragments, street scenes and moments captured in various parts of the world are brought together. By meeting their often difficult realities, the artist gives dignity to all the characters depicted. The photographs, and especially the use of black and white, underline emotions and a deep love for life that, in spite of the miserable conditions they live in, shines through the faces.
