This started as a reason for me to try out Corel Painter and do some Fan Art of a really Awesome movie :). My painting "style" is a little sloppy so i water to try use the many different Paper and Brush effects and settings Painter has to offer. Then I found out Painter and Photoshop go hand in hand... WINNING, lol. SO it was a fun little Practice.

Had no real idea how I was going to approach the design and composition of the piece while trying to figure out a new program. So I did what I do in Photoshop... start off in Grayscale with shapes and shading.
Started to apply a Simple Colour layer and added a simple Background in Painter. Then went to Photoshop to add contrast and brighten the colours. I had know idea how to do it in Painter :( (note: I now do lol)
Decided to add some colour to Tom in Photoshop before going back into Painter. As I said, my paint style is real ruff... that and i didn't want spend to much time on this piece. It's and experiment :).
