In June 2016 the XX anniversary St Petersburg International Economic Forum, which is the main annual economic summit in Russia, was held in St Petersburg. The most influential businessmen, economists, and politicians from different countries took part in it.
DesignDepot developed a new corporate style for this event, which not only refers to the anniversary of the forum, but also considers peculiarities of a new venue.

First of all we re-styled the logo, which had been used without any changed for twenty years. Taking note of the established traditions allowed us both to say a few things both about development of the Forum, and its sticking to initial principles and ideas.

In general, the new corporate style of SPIEF is based on three key elements, which form the style:

1. Admiralty ship
In the new version the ship image in the logo was simplified and optimized, and due to this the logo looks more active and modern, and also broadens technological possibilities of use.

2. Corporate colours are navy blue and golden.
Navy blue is the deep, calm, and high-toned/honorable colour, which shows the prestige and business spirit of the Forum.     
The golden color is a symbol of the economic ideas of the Forum, and reflects its high international status.

3. ‘Waves’ graphic pattern
The pattern symbolizes waves of the Neva River and the Baltic Sea, which refers to the location of St Petersburg, and also sound waves symbolize communication and dialogue between people.
