Shakespeare is famous in terms of it's classic story he made, here, Laurence Olivier bring 3 of Shakespeare famous story to the big screen, which is specially boxed to one by Criterion. The 3 story of different genre consist of Hamlet, a story of tragic revenge, Henry V, famous for its thriller action, and Richard III, a story from the antagonist point of view.
Design
The design strategy is to convey the main genre of the story in a modern-classic way, purely with typography and grids, this is done with the classic typeface together with the clean layout. The treatment of the typography is based on the famous quotes of each series, for example, “some are born great, some achieve greatness” from Richard III, which is place on the cover of the DVD.
