TheLost&FoundSeries is a series of screen-printed posters discussing whimsical and bizarre intangibles and tangibles that have been lost or found. The idea of ‘Lost & Found’ germinated from a bigger idea of wanting to propagate false news in a metro station(Cubbon Park Metro Station, Bangalore). The intention behind this idea was to arouse the curiosity of the commuters so that their engagement with the station would not be so disembodied, stiff and mechanical.
Later on, I have taken these posters outside into more public spaces.
The series consists of 14 posters – seven of them explore ideas and objects that have been lost and the remaining seven respond to these lost ideas in the form of intangibles and tangibles that have been found :
Around 300 posters have been wheat-pasted in Church Street and along M.G. Road in Bangalore in locations that allowed coalition between these ideas and the spaces.
