In Japanese SETTO means ’to adjust’. And that is excactly what we wanted this lamp to be able to. Even still sitting by the table, we wanted to be able to change the light to fit our mood and activity. Manually rolling the lamp from one side to the other, makes changing the light setting a very tactile and physical experience.
The lamp takes its inspiration from Danish design traditions such as a simple form language as well as honest and natural materials. One half of the sphere is only one flat piece of material folded into a hemisphere using a specially made pattern. The band running around the lamp is oak wood, used in a lot of Danish classic designs.
