Laura and Aaron's wedding invites
I was asked to create some wedding invites for a couple, I was given complete freedom except that the colour scheme was red, grey and white. I communicated with the clients throughout designing and execution. I started with rough ideas, moved into photoshop to present a few ideas to the client and then once this was decided proceeded with the final design. I hand cut each invite deciding to have cut out sections which subtley were the letters 'A' and 'L'; the couples first name initials, surrounding the heart.  I then used indesign to create the inserts containing all the relevant information for them. I finished the design off with grey ribbon bringing through the colour scheme and tying the whole design together.
(Above): Initial main idea, roughly executed and sent to client to show the direction I wished to take the designs in.
(Above): Trial on Photoshop to add colour and then show client what it could potentially look like. The last image shows a variation in how the colour could be added (if they did not want the original blocks).
(Above): Then after discussions with the client decided the blocks of colour would no longer just be 'petal' shapes but would form the letters of the names "L" and "A" around the centre heart. I then re coloured the image and sent this back, together we decided this would be the final design.
(Above): Final images of the invitations with the right showing the inside with the formal writing that I added in through indesign.
