Character desing and Ilustration for my Motion Graphics Reel '17

I decided to paint and animate few of my favourite local bird species, these are actual birds and although I tried to mix up their lines, I preserved their actual colours. I also made them as single illustrations because I just had so much fun making them!

This guy is the Barranquero, My favorite one!!

This one is called Bichofué Gritón, which translates Screaming Bichofué, his singing sounds as if he was saying his name "Bi - cho- fué".

This is the Red Tailed Amazilia, a very common Hummingbird species around the area. 

This is the Pechirojo, which sort of translates "red chested" - bird

This one is the "azulejo", there are many kinds of azulejos but this one is local and very much present around my area.

For this project I worked on paper to simplify the lines the most I could, here are some of the sketches! sorry for the terrible quality, they are just for reference!

Finally, after all that painting, I went ahead and animated the intro and outro for my 2017 Motion Graphics Reel...
