Maxim Gorky is a writer as famous and essential for Russian literature as Tolstoy and Dostoevsky. His precise and ironic writings about Russia, folk and mentality have become quotes.

I’ve been commissioned by the Gorky Literature Museum in Samara to produce a series of souvenirs showcasing his archive photographs of different life periods and his quotes.
What was done is a complete grayscale production of posters, postcards, magnets and much more.

Did I mention in the end of 19th century he worked for a local newspaper “Samarskaya Gazeta”? It’s original branding was used to frame the content.

Another version of postcards was made with the same design but empty frames so that a person could draw/write/glew in his content.
