San Francisco 'Minimal Typography' | Poster Project
This project that began in early August was based around the idea of creating an imagery based poster that would include the use of typographical text in a minimalistic form, in order to draw attention to the city of San Francisco in the U.S. state of California.
The idea was to place a picture of one of San Francisco’s most well-known landmarks, the Golden Gate Bridge, next to a small collection of text that carries the abbreviation for the name San Francisco itself, alongside the respective state name broken up into two pieces for a more wider/abstract effect.
The mockups for this project include that of an A3 sized poster being held up by somebody, a framed mockup placed on a wall, and a billboard-like mockup placed in the city to pay homage to the idea of civilians being encouraged to visit the city, or the billboard itself serving as a symbol of pride to those who were born and currently reside in San Francisco.
So, be sure to tell me what you think in the comment section below!
This is a non-commercial project.
