"The Black Widow" Project
"The Black Widow" project is a personal exercise to practice the aspects of CG animation that tend to be as tedious as intimidating (at least for impatient people like me).
Talking to a friend we were discussing the fastest and laziest way to implement character animation to our bug models without having to rig or keyframe anything.
So we found the answer in C4D's Character and CMotion tool.
To do the shading I used the Substance Painter to quickly generate all my texture maps, which i used later in Octane to render the final output, along with the robust hair system in C4D to give that extra LOD.
All in all, took me a couple of evenings to do the whole thing from scratch (from modeling to final render), which was my goal:
Getting results as fast as possible!
