The Mumbai Project'  is a collection of prints inspired by the observations I have made as a Mumbaikar. This project is based on a poem I had written to express my feelings and tribute to my city which reads as follows :

MUMBAI MERI JAAN​​​​

City of lights, dreams and survival

That is why I love Mumbai

Its claustrophobic for some but for me,

its the people that keep it alive.

It may not have big clean beaches though

it has been gifted with coasts that feed many,

Its the best place for a photographer's lens.

It is the city for the rich and poor.

It is the one that never sleeps.

The one that has seen the most revolutionary changes.

It is a formation of the seven islands and has a history.

The cluttered streets make it one of the busiest cities around the world.

It's where my soul finds hope and peace.

For me, It is like a box of assorted chocolates, lustful desserts and a bag of spices.

For me, It is New York to my India.

For me, It is my life.

Mumbai, Bombay, Bambai whatever it is called,

the feeling is what matters at the last.
