Colorbar USA asked me to design a series of illustrations for their new range of lipstics. Take Me As I Am is a unique product. Although a lipstick it comes in the form of a crayon with a complementary sharpener, this is an inherent contradiction as it comes in a thicker form than a traditional lipstick. It has an extremely creamy and soft feeling formulation with great color pay off & coverage. Viscous oils & esters give it a beautiful shine. It also has skin-conditioning ingredients such as Shea butter & Vitamin E, further enhancing the comfortable wearing properties.
The strength to do what I do,
The perseverance to continue in spite of all those stubborn hurdles,
The patience to never give up,
The will power to wake up every morning to fight the same war,
And a lifetime to gain all of this,
You ask me why can’t I afford a little change?
I have invested my life to be me.
Take me as I am, or don’t!
The series of illustrations depict that each one of us, no matter what, should be proud of who we are, we should ignore the criticism of the society and work on ourselves.
Our interest may or may not be appreciated by the everyone, this should not hamper our ability to see our own true potential.
