The censorship in Hong Kong is aggravated in recent 15 years since the pro-Chinese government investors have taken control of most of the mainstream media. Panama papers leak is one of the case, very few media talk about it because numerous politicians and Chinese leaders are involved.

The chief executive editor at Ming Pao, a prominent newspaper in Hong Kong, was suddenly dismissed in the day after running a story about the politicians and individuals who are related to the Panama papers.
