In the workshop we explored an integration of natural and manufactured materials, revealing their coexistence. We will choose a material sourced from the grounds of Boisbuchet and pair it with a manufactured, ‘off-the-shelf’ component.
In my project, i chose to work with freshly-cut wool from sheeps of the land of Boisbuchet - natural material - , and transparent acrylic - manufactured material. I was very interested in using the wool exploring its possibilities and strengths and the acrylic gave a clear contrast and a plain canvas on which i could intervene and give a new character. The result could be used as a lamp, a newspaper display rack, a bag, a pot cover , a .....
