"Spaghettification"
The book by Bruce Chatwin "Utz" became an inspiration for this project.
The author explores in his book the phenomenon of collecting works of art and the writer
developed his own explanation of collecting.
Collecting is a desire to collect beautiful, but useless things happens, in his opinion, from
the passion for changing places that people inherited from the ancient nomadic
ancestors. Collecting can act as a way of knowing the world around us.
I took the idea of a passion for changing places and searching for guessing the secrets of
the universe in creating my concept of porcelain figurines.
In general, my work is aimed at studying different layers and environments.
Here are the questions I was looking for:
 What happens directly to objects when they travel in time and space?
 What properties and characteristics do they acquire in this process?
 How do the decorative objects talk about their wanderings?
 How do they interact with the imagination of collectors?
How does the experience of travel and collision with different environments affect them?
How will the context of the decorative art object change if it passes through different
environments?
I began my research from a journey first on our planet, to various places, having studied
various types of distortions and deformations of figurines.
Next, I went into space with figurines, extraterrestrial space, travel inside a black hole. After all, space is an unattainable structure for the majority of the universe, and black holes are the real mystery of the universe.
What will happen to the figurines when they find themselves in such a strange place as a
black hole in space?
At the time of travel through the black hole, the so-called "spaghettification" begins - a
real astrophysical term, which means a strong stretching of objects vertically, which is
caused by a large tidal wave in the gravitational field.
The object of the figures as they approach the center of the black hole will be stretched,
taking the form of spaghetti or noodles.
This example of deformations of objects in extraterrestrial space and served as a source ofinspiration for the creation of the ceramic figurines.
