This was the 1st event that I handled when I started working at Sin Chew Media Corp Bhd. This is a live show competition called VJ SEARCH, it is aim to find a young and new face veejay for our company broadcasting channel: Pocketimes. The competition was started from February 2016 to July 2016. The total number of competitors was around 300.  

There are ample of talent quest competition available in market, mostly singing or dance competition, opportunities are rare for those with good oratory skills, hence an attraction on its own;

To redefine the role of ‘news anchor’, where is has been perceived as too serious, by re-introducing the role played by a news anchor, it could establish an inspiring image for the profession, attracting the youth with the intellect yet cool image, a revival of the journalist image.

The VJ we are looking for:

- Speaks the Millennial language & attune to social media trend

- Passionate about the journalism ‘dream’

- Ultimately equips with the professional skills required

My job:

- Design, create and keep updating the official website

- Design all prints and online ads for newspaper and all social media platform (Facebook, Youtube, Instagram and Sin Chew Website + APP)

- Design all props, brochures, buntings, pops-up, certificates, tickets and banner

- Plan the schedule and timeline

- Video shooting and editing

- Control screen and audio system during roadshows
