I am a fan of rapport and establishing rapport with a muse, or model, or subject, or whatever you’d like to refer to one who inspires you to create, a good relationship with that person is paramount when creating portraits. I recently did this ‘study’ of Marissa… I do these for a few reasons… one, doing the study helps me understand the subject, her face, her angles, her features, et al… and in doing so the idea is to also help the model understand herself etc. it is for growth… here are a few from last evening…
