Week 2 - The Passing of Time
#oneperday2017
Title: My friend's house - photographs of her doorway with the windows casting a shadow onto the carpet and a pair of worn-in shoes left by the door.
Technique/ Process: :  I used a Canon EOS 500D DSLR Camera to take each picture - 1/125, 7.1, +1 and  1/320, 5.0, +1, 1/30, 4.0 . I then enhanced the first one by amplifying the colours. I made the second image black and white, to bring out the gems on the shoes.
Reasoning: I took these pictures because they show time through light and time through the placement of the shoes right next to the door, and how they have been worn in. I also wanted to take this picture of the door/light because the door is slightly halfway closed which shows how it's been used in everyday life.
Reflection: I think both of the pictures show how such a small area of space shows so much use and history in someones home. I thought it was a strong connection to the theme this week.

#oneperday2017
Title: Sunset – this Is a picture of a sunset from my veranda
Technique/ Process:
I used a Canon EOS 500D DSLR Camera - 1/60, 4.0, +1.  I wanted to take a picture of the orange and red horizon line to show how time goes by. I used my handrail to balance my camera on.
Reasoning: THe sunset was an example of how time goes by.
Reflection: I really like how red the Horison seemed to be on camera.
#oneperday2017
Right, Title: Moon -
Process/ Technique:  i used the technique of drawing a grid to fill in the squares
I used differently weighted pencils to draw this moon.
Reasoning: The moon phase also shows how time goes by.
Reflection: i wish i could have added more dimension to the shape of the moon.

Left, Title:  Mushrooms - a bunch of decomposing mushrooms
Technique/ process: I took a picture from the internet and drew the outlines of the mushrooms with a pencil then i used watercolours to fill in with colour. I let the watercolour dry and added back the detail i had drawn originally.
Reasoning: I wanted to make the mushrooms look like they were decaying to show the cycle of a mushrooms life.
Reflection: I am really proud of this water- colour, because it was hard to keep the colours clean and not bleeding into each other

Week 3 - Portraits
#oneperday2017
Title: Portrait and self-illustrated portrait
technique/ Process: This was taken with an iPhone in the darkroom during group pictures.
The picture was taken with an iPhone camera using a phone flashlight with a tissue to dim the lighting from one side.
The illustrated portrait was created in illustrator and Photoshop. I used the line tool over a picture to create the lines and then i moved it over to Photoshop to fill in the black spaces with black and light the face with pink and purple.
Reflection: The illustrated portrait was the one i was really proud of, because it to a long time to make and i wasn't sure how it was going to turn out, or look even remotely like myself.
#oneperday2017
Title: Classmate
Reasoning: This is a picture of my friend in the darkrooms during our group pictures.
Technique/ Process: We took a picture of him while he was moving his head. We used a phone light down below to create dimension.
Reflection: I thought this was an interesting 'portrait' of a person.
#oneperday2017
Left, Title: Stranger -
Reasoning: a stranger i found sitting on a park bench in the botanic gardens
Process/ Technique: I used my Samsung galaxy six phone-camera to take this picture then i edited it in Photoshop to clarify the man sitting on the bench.
Reflection: I like how you cant see the mans face, and just the positioning of the whole picture, because its hard to just take a picture of someone walking y and create some sort of atmosphere in the picture.
Right, Title: Mum
Reasoning: a side profile drawing of my mother
Technique/ Process:
I used several differently weighted pencils to create this drawing.
Reflection: I thought i got my mums eyes the best out of all of her features.
Week 4 - Ekka
#oneperday2017
Left, Title: lamb
Reasoning: When the Ekka grounds was packing up for the night I found a small white lamb laying down in the centre of the feeding grounds.
Technique/ Process: I used my Samsung galaxy s6 camera, I then edited it in Photoshop to make it black and white
Reflection: i thought that it was interesting how the lamb was the only one int at big stretch of space and how it stood out against the rest of the animals.
Right, Title:  Showgrounds
Reasoning:
I took a picture of the empty seats around the showgrounds. I edited this picture in Photoshop to make it black and white.

Reflection: i thought it was a cool angle to take a picture of the seats from.
#oneperday2017

Reasoning: I found a goat that had fallen asleep in its food bowl.
Technique/ Process: I used my Samsung galaxy s 6 camera.
Reflection: I thought it was a cute photo of how some animals endure the whole ekka.
Right, Train:
Reasoning: a picture of the Ekka rides through the scratched-up windows of the train that brings you back to Roma street.
Technique/ Process: I used my Samsung galaxy s 6 camera.
Reflection: i thought it was another perspective of the ekka which not a lot of people document, and that it actually leaving the Ekka.
Week 5 - Down Memory Lane
#oneperday2017
Title: Sky of Friday
Reasoning: This is a picture of the clouds after a small rainstorm in the afternoon, the one that had warnings in the news.
Reflection: I like how the cloud are sitting, so i thing the picture turned out well.
Technique/ process: There was not any kind of set up for this picture i just took it while i was in my backyard.
I used my Olympus EPL-7 camera: P100, F5.0, 0.0, 24mm, ISO 200. I edited it a little bit in photoshop to bring out the pinks and blue in the sunset.

#oneperday2017
Right, Title: In a Biskit - my favourite snack when i was in primary school
Technique/ Process:
I used a Canon EOS 500D DSLR Camera
I drew the label out with a pencil and then i went over with a fine tip black pen.
Reasoning: i think thats its a funny logo for a snack
Reflection: O like my drawing of the chicken drummer.

Left, Title: Octopus Park -
Reasoning: my favourite playground from my childhood, probably the est playground in Brisbane. I have people backing me up on this.
Technique/ Process: I used a Canon EOS 500D DSLR Camera
I drew out the fish with a pencil then used watercolours with a mix of red yellow and orange colours to fill in with colour. I then used a fine tip black pen to draw back in the scales and the outline.
Reflection:
I wasn't sure how the pen definition on the scales was going to look but im really happy with the colours i used and how they turned out.
#oneperday2017
Right, Title: My House -  the front window and my front door
Technique/ Process;
I used a Canon EOS 500D DSLR Camera: I set the camera to ISO 200, Shutter speed was 1/160, f/stop was 5.6
Reasoning: it one of my favourite parts of my house, i think the orange tile underneath light the whole area up really nice.
Reflection, I like the angle of this picture.

Left, Title: Mancala
Process/ Technique: I made this in photoshop using the line tool.
Reasoning: I used to play mancala in primary school during after-school care, it was really fun to play because it was easy and you could play for a really long time and not get bored.
Reflection:  It was hard to make this illustration more dimensional, although i wasn't sure that was the point of this picture.

Week 6 - See that Thing?

#oneperday2107
Left, Title:  Spectacle flowers
Technique/Process:
I took a picture of a pot of orchids that had little noses, so I Photoshopped some glasses onto each flower.
I used my Olympus EPL-7 camera on 60, F5.5, 35mm, ISO 1600.
Reasoning: when i looked at the flower faces, it looked like they all had big long funny looking noses, so i wanted to give them a face.
Reflection: This Was one of the better pictures from this week i think.
Right , Title: Groot
Reasoning: I found a little goblin/ groot locking knot in the wood beside my house.
Technique/ Process:
I used my Olympus EPL 7 camera on P 160, F5.6,+0.3, 14mm, ISO 200.
Reflection:  For this weeks pictures, it was hard to stray away from finding just faces in things, i wish i could have found something more. although i really like the face in the fence, i put it in black and white so that face would look even grumpier.
#oneperday2017
Title: Bum bag
Reflection: I used my Samsung Galaxy S6 camera
Reasoning: I found a bag that looked like a bum while walking from class.
Reflection: it was an on the spot picture so didn't have a lot of time to find a good angle. Just saw the girl walking in front of me and it made me laugh, thinking about this assignment.
#oneperday2017
Left, Title:  Sea horse
Technique/ Process: I used a Canon EOS 500D DSLR Camera - 1/200, 5.6.
Reasoning: I found a small broken piece of branch that looks like a sea horse head, I think the rainbow lorikeets use it as a nest.
Reflection: I think this was an okay picture but this week was hard.

Right, Title: Crying eski
Technique/ Process: Olympus EPL-7 - P 160, F6.3, +0.3, ISO 200, 25mm
Reasoning: My dads eski looked like it was crying.
Reflection:
Both of these pictures are not very inspirational as it was hard to find things around my house that looked like other things.
Week 7 - Light and Scale
#oneperday2017
Title: Target
Technique/ Process: I use a string of yellow fairy lights and swung them around in a circle while facing towards a mirror to create this image. I used my Olympus EPL-7 camera on S 8", F3.5, -1.7, 14mm, ISO 400.
Reasoning: I wanted to get the reflection of the light in a mirror.
Reflection: This is one of my favourite pictures I've taken so far i really like how the light gets stronger and clearer in the middle, and how it reflects onto the mirror. it also reminds me of space.
#oneperday2017
Left, Title: Candles
Technique/ Process: I lit up some candles and used a long stick to push them across the view.
I used my Olympus EPL 7 camera S 15", F14, -5.0, 14mm, ISO 100
Reasoning:  I wanted to see what kind of light the candles would show
Reflection: i wish the candles were a bit stronger and less shaky.

Right, Title: Split
Technique/ Reflection: We used a white light to outline a classmate’s body, but one side was a bit skewed. Looks like some sort of symbolism for a split personality. I used my Olympus EPL 7 camera S 6", F22, -5.0, 14mm, ISO low.
Reasoning: We wanted to create a simple outline of The figure.
Reflection:
I prefer the second one to the purple and blue because it has more personality, but they both came out really nice.

#oneperday2017
Title: Swirls
Technique/ Process: We used two lights and circled them around a classmate’s arms to create this
I used my Olympus EPL-7 camera S 6", F20, -5.0, 14mm ISO 200. We had two people on each side of this person with their iPhones, circling his arms to get this picture
Reasoning: We wanted to see how the light would look behind and in front of a figure.
Reflection: We were wanting to make the swirls more similar, but i like this one better because it looks like there are two different kinds of powers' shooting out from his arms.
#oneperday2017
Title: Circles
Technique? Process: I used a string of fairy lights and swung them around in a circle while I moved from side to side to create this.I used my Olympus EPL-7  S 8", F5.6, -1.7, 14mm ISO 200. I set my camera up on a table and turned the lights off to capture this picture.
Reasoning: I wanted to use the fairy light again for another long exposure light photo, but i wanted to make it lighter.
Reflection: I would have liked to get a unique outcome for this picture in comparison to the previous fairy light one, although the other pictures didn't come out as nice.
Week 8  - Textures and Patterns
#oneperday2017
Title: Unity
Technique/ Process:   I found this plant that has very unified leaves that line up in a pattern, they close up when the sun goes down, so i caught them half-way closing in the afternoon. I used my Olympus EPL-7 camera on: 320, F9.0, 17mm, ISO 200. I wanted the catch the sun in the picture as well so i tilted my camera up a bit to get that stream of light.
Reasoning: I wanted to take a picture of these leaves because i have never seen this kind or unified pattern in these kinds of leaves, usually they grow wherever there is sunlight, but these grow in harmony.

Reflection: I thought this was a good representation of 'pattern' in nature.
#oneperday2017
Left, Title: Lamps 'n books -
Technique/ Process: I created a simple pattern of an old-fashioned lamp and an open book to match with it. I drew out the object first with pen and then i put them into photoshop where i created this pattern.
Reasoning:  I wanted to use purple and orange because they are kind of regal colours and i thought it matched with the rest of the theme. We had to make a mathematical pattern so i wanted to make it look simple but interesting.
Reflection: I really like this pattern, although i might have added a smaller item to make it a group of three and also make them in varying sizes.

Right, Title:  Tiny trees -
Technique/ Process:  I found these delicate plants that have a lot of thin green 'branches' on them.  I took a picture of them from underneath with my Olympus EPL - 7 camera on 400, F10, 14mm, ISO 200.
Reasoning: I thought that this plant was very textured and intricate so i wanted to use it for my texture in nature photo but i wanted to take it from an interesting angle.
Reflection:  I really like how the lights being captured in this as well as the plant's texture, although i would have liked to get a distinguished picture of just the small plant instead of capturing the trees above as well.
#oneperday2017
Title: Skin
Technique/ Process:  I took a picture of my cheek skin for my own texture. I use my Olympus EPL- 7 camera on 80, F5.6, 36mm, IS0 800. I set up a light directly above the camera when i took this. I edited this picture in photoshop to bring up the contrast a little bit.
Reasoning: i am not a huge fan of looking at my skin this closely but i though there was a lot of texture to account for.
Reflection: i think this picture turned out really clear, as you can even see the little hairs on my cheek and also my freckles.
#oneperday2017
Title: Old mossy tennis ball
Technique/ Process: I used my Olympus camera on 160, F6.3, 14mm, ISO 200 to capture this picture, i used natural lighting as i was outside.
Reasoning: I found a really old tennis ball in my backyard and thought it would be a good picture of man-made texture.
Reflection: another favourite of mine, because the tennis ball, look so much more textured than a new tennis ball, and i had to use macro focus on my camera to capture it.
Week 9 - Image Manipulation
These are the five images i used in my Manipulated Image.
#oneperday2017
Title - Trifecta
Technique/ Process: I used 4 images in this image manipulation, I put them all into photoshop and created this.
Reasoning: we had to create an image that had been manipulated so i wanted to use some different but good pictures.
Reflection: I didn't know where i was going with this one but i really like the fish and the ocean in the background.

These are the five original images i used in my Manipulated image, I wanted to use completely different images so that the 'world i created would be bright and colourfull.
