Wells-Lamson Quarry

Learning about tectonics, a segment from the previous studio project was turned into a sectional model. In the previous project, a necklace of artist studio pods was hung off of the perpendicular face of the Wells-Lamson Quarry with a choreographed circulation from the brim down to the water’s edge. There were a plethora of challenges that were resolved through research and the testing of adhesives, building techniques, and the consultation of a structural engineer.
