Ventana a Saraguro
This editorial project called "Ventana a Saraguro"(Window to Saraguro), was my recent graduation project. It is about the Saraguro culture from Loja province in Ecuador, the objective was to analyze the visual elements (chromatic, morphology, composition) and aesthetics of the iconography and symbology from this culture, in other words get to know how this people create their crafts and more through the reconstruction of those visual elements, kind of revers engineering.
This book contains a description of the Saraguro culture (their location, beliefs, traditions and more), as well as it contains the developed methodology, which would helped to accomplish the objectives of the project and some other features of the investigation.
The characters for the visual identity of the book were developed from some of the analyzed elements. Which in this case were bids works traditionally made by the Saraguro people.
The photographic part of the project was one of the essential elements for the investigation and all the pictures were taken in Saraguro.
