The tension is that there are more brands in the market that are tailored to specific digestive ailments. As a result, all that clutter in the market attacks the credibility of Pepto Bismol. It is also much cheaper to buy a generic brand instead of Pepto Bismol.

So the question was,

How can we get people to see Pepto Bismol as the only solution for all their digestive ailments?

To promote the campaign, we came up with an arcade-shooter game for the IPhone. Named ‘Pepto Fighter’, it is a game where the players follow the journey of a Pepto Bismol tablet through an ailing digestive system.

On scoring more than 10,000 points, the players had an option of redeeming their score which would help them generate a QR code. The players could then scan this QR code at the nearest Walgreens outlet and get a pack of Pepto Bismol for every 10,000 points scored.
