frozen mercedes star (full cgi)
for last weeks render challenge of the "automotive cgi" facebook group with the theme "dirty/weathered car" i tried to render a full cgi frost effect like you see it on cars at extreme cold conditions
inspired by a friends post and many google images i created this frost effect entirely with hand modelled geometry and maya's mash
overall there are more than 7 million object in the scene which combined should be roughly 1 billion polygons (thanks we have instancing)
with a little post on top this is the final image... i hope you'll enjoy the result
