SAN VITALE
Console table design concept in brass, marble and acrylic stone.

Creating the concept of the console table, the designer was inspired by the Byzantine architecture drawings. In designer's opinion the buildings plans outlines of that architectural period look extremely contemporary now. The console table design is based on the San Vitale Basilica in Ravenna plan and interior. Shape and volume are determined by the plan, while the colours and choice of materials are associated with the interior decoration of the Basilica. Capacious contemporary design cutting off all that is superfluous, but containing the historical heritage.

I am pleased to announce that San Vitale Console Table have been awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Furniture, Decorative Items and Homeware Design Category by the International Design Academy, the grand jury panel of the A' Design Award & Competition which consists of internationally influential press members, established designers, leading academics and prominent entrepreneurs.
