METIMOTUS - Urban art combined with 3D video projection
Artist Philipp Frank further explores in his latest project the combination of his paintings with 3d projection mapping.
He explains his concept for the Metimotus installation as followed:

"I wanted to create a inspirational new artwork and find a connection between the building and its environment. Therefore I took various natural elements from next to it (trees, stones, water, colours) and reinterpreted and rearranged them in a abstract way. On some spots you can find direct links to nature, that can only be seen from certain angles. It requires the spectators interaction and a playful approach to discover them“.

But as nature and anything else is in a constant state of evolution, the mural needed some motion too. My brother Felix Frank helped me with his 3d projection mapping skills to achieve this effect. Flowing and mesmerizing elements went hand in hand with the painting. Imaginative, inspiring and full of movement. A dream like scenery. Watch the video and get a glimpse of this living mural installation.

The Pegelhaus München is located 300 m north of the Friedensengel on the waterside.
It is used for monitoring the water level and quality of the river Isar in Munich/Germany.
