FRANK Magazine VI

FRANK Magazine is a digital publication released via the Apple Store for iPad and is produced by a team of students and faculty at Columbia College Chicago through the Photography department. Myself and two other designers (Elinor Thomas & Gabe de la Mora) were in charge of handling all design and branding work on the sixth installment of FRANK Magazine. This included picking an appropriate color scheme, typeface choices, and creative direction for formatting, layout, illustrations and photography for the stories in the publication. Each installment has its own direction and purpose, and with FRANK VI the team wanted to tackle environmental awareness by bringing to light stories, artwork and other mediums that touch base in this category.

This was an entirely collaborative project in which all design was carefully considered by every designer in the publication—while individually we were in charge of designing our own set spreads/stories we chose, we still oversaw each other’s work to ensure we were on brand and putting out the best that we could with the content given.
