Visiting the Villa Cavrois (Nord, France) designed by Mallet-Stevens, I discovered a really interesting work about lights, shadows and geometry. The architect imagines a real contemporary castle in the modernist and geometric spirit around a simple program: "air, light, work, sports, hygiene, comfort, economy". Large glass surfaces give maximum clarity. Powerful indirect lighting for the night. Simple materials, textures and shapes implemented with great concern for economy .
