Let Serve, Let Protect | Typographical Project
This project that began in late July was based around designing a banner that would respond to the announcement that U.S. president Donald Trump would stop people of transgender orientation from serving in the U.S. military, due to “tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail.”

The content of the banner itself would show support and encouragement to transgenders who have desired to serve and protect their country, by the way of a simple slogan and illustration of the community flag tearing through the “walls” of military uniform, alongside a medal star that also contains the community flag itself.

This illustration would associate those of the transgender community with military ambitions with a notion of bravery and a sense of worth, especially with the type of roles and positions that I feel they should be allowed to serve.

For the display mockup, I placed the banner on a brick wall with a silhouette of a protest crowd walking past to help give the impression that the matter could be taken to the streets, based on how serious the opposition could become to certain people with set ideologies on the matter.

So, be sure to tell me what you think in the comment section below!
