‘From score to video’ consists in the metamorphosis of music into video; assembling three different songs into a heterogeneous visual composition through Illustrator, later animated  in After Effects. 

    As a collaborative project, each song was analysed and interpreted, from which we created a new visual score. This was done by converting all instruments, including voice, into a unique form of video display. We regarded voice as a distinguished instrument, thus representing voice with typography and the rest of the instruments with images. 

    Although the genres of music and design change along the final outcome, it’s utterly clear that a consistent approach was taken whilst conceptualising the visual art. The final aesthetic is determined by a strong character of collage art in brutalist’ fashion, forming a lyric visual narrative.
