The Cromwell Logo Reveal

Las Vegas, Cromwell Logo reveals
Project
Create 3 different logo reveals for the Cromwell. They must include Cromwell branding, along with gaming elements.

Challenges
We had 10 days to build and animated each piece, this included brainstorming and creating ideas that were unique enough to stand out along with bring "elevated gaming" to the animations. Each piece had to be under 15 secs long, and asked to incorporate Cromwell branding elements.

The process

1. Brainstorming
During this time, we write down any idea that come to mind, even if it seems silly. The first brainstorming sessions is geared to putting ideas on a board. After this then we can refine our thoughts and consolidate ideas down to workable ones.

2. Storyboards
Once the ideas have been consolidated into different concepts we start creating our storyboards. This is where we create the look and feel of the project, from start to finish. We start asking questions like; Will this concept overall look correct when we put animation to it? Would this look better if we have the text slide up and in vs down and in? Light Flash here? The more questions asked the better the outcome for the project.

It is a lot easier to doodle quickly on paper then it is in After Effects. Once finished with the story boards and they have been approved to proceed, we start finalizing our illustrations for the animations.

3. Illustrations
We take our storyboards and clean up the illustrations for animations. This is where we breakdown the illustrator files into workable files for After Effects. Every moving part needs to have it's own layer. Each background needs to be developed for a final look.

4. Animations
Now the fun begins, putting all this together into an animation. Here we focus on doing exactly what the storyboard details.

5. Clean up
Finally we get to a finished project, here we make it go the extra step and get it ready for the client. The client being for this project, the Cromwell Las Vegas. We needed to take it to the next level so sometimes it could mean a full re-do or just little tweaks in color and balance to make it look "pretty".

6. Presentation
