3D illustrations of the female reproductive system, including:
- Anatomy of the Uterus
- Ovarian cancer
- Cervical cancer and cone biopsy of the cervix
- Illustration of hysteroctomy (surgical removal of the uterus)
- Intrauterine device (IUD)
3d graphics allows to edit the original model and use it for other illustrations. For a big series that requires multiple variations of one theme this method is a very reasonable way to save time and to produce highly detailed and realistic illustrations. The series of 12 illustrations took about 35 hours in total. The working time spent per image ranged from 45 minutes to 10 hours.
