Story about X-plus to Euclide (Roche Bobois) (2010~2017)
Around 2010, I had an idea of making a simple modular furniture that can be used in different ways , I started with research on different structure and shapes, triangle then starts to stand out from crowd
At same time, I also like to create a simple production process by using once piece of bent metal
Quick action after idea is consolidated, I started build basic structure in CAD and render for visual reference
In renderings, it seems working very well as a modular concept
I started to try different ways to combine them, but soon I realize it is hard to think without touching physical objects
Then I decided to 3D print miniatures of X-plus , so I can put my hands on them to exploration possibilities for modular design
I had to say I was right about it, I found more interesting ways to put them together ,which hard to imagining in CAD world
Even more I found mini X-plus can be used as stand for my Lumia phone in 2011
Why not make big one and try it in real life, maybe more can be found, so I worked with model shop made two real size X-plus

Then I brought it to one friend's place, asked her try to use it without telling her what it is, my intention is to find how people will use in real life
She starts with table, of course!
Stool, also makes sense!
And this one is really beyond my expectation, soon I realize because I didn't define functionality, people are easy to be engaged with their imagination while using X-plus, I was inspired by my friend and I start to imaging people will use X-plus in many creative ways
I feel strong about what I found, so I submit design to Red Dot Design Award, and X-plus won in 2011
X-plus caught some attention after wining design awards, it was selected to be shown in Milan I need to make more samples to fill booth space

Right after Milan show, X-plus was called to be in New York for ICFF, and luckily I won ICFF studio award with a free booth
Elle Deco France called me in 2012 , they have 25 years anniversary in that year , they want to pick 30 iconic designs to celebrate this special event , and X-plus was in , but everything starts to slow down after this peak
Euclide will be launched globally in Q3 2017 and with wide range of color selections, This is my journey with X-plus (Euclide) , it is quite special experience compares to many other designs I have made in my career, from idea starts to it finally lands in store, it took 7 years in my life, during 7 years , there are ups and downs, wining design awards, invited for exhibition then goes for silence, finally was in store.
