Working with Project Felix Beta release to create an impactful composition. The program that brings 3D capabilities to Designers who have little to no experience in the realm of 3D has opened the doors to making photo compositing and 3D modelling even that much more possible.

In Project Felix, I added in this AdobeStock image of a stark desert plain at the break of dawn which provided an interesting light source. After adding in the 3D forms I applied a few of the metal materials from the assets library. A splash model was used with a low opacity and translucency to give it a smokey effect - almost ghostly.
Lighting was applied using both the IBL of the landscape and Sun Light properties to reflect the natural lighting in the photo.
The finished composition was brought into Photoshop for some final touch-ups. A Color Lookup Pass; Crisp Winter, gave it this striking, cold, futuristic effect which seemed to enhance the metallic properties of the gold, rust and galvanized objects, also elevating the colours in the overall composition.
