Junior year fashion project at the Academy of Arts and Design, Tsinghua University.

Mesmerized by the simplistic natural beauty of the North of Russia, I decided to create a minimalistic four-piece collection inspired by the natural textures I have so often seen in Karelia: fish bones, and irregular shapes of ancient roots and branches. The spine-like structures on the garments are completely flexible and movable; merging natural shapes with elements of everyday clothing communicates the idea of how close the people of the Russian North are close to Nature.
