DECODED / MIT Technology Review

DECODED / MIT Technology Review

I was commisioned by Sulfurica.tv (Santiago, Chile) to work on the id's, bumpers and title cards for the upcoming online video series from MIT "DECODED" from MIT Technology Review. "Decoded" is focused on informative content that lives at the intersection of technology and learning, with a more light-hearted twist.

The idea was to explore colorfull glitches and abstract shapes and mix it with the titles in order to have a unified look. Sadly this proposal didn't make it to the final steps of animation.

FIRST MOTION BOARD DRAFTS

SECOND ROUND STYLEFRAME PROPOSAL / MOTIONBOARDS / GIF'S

The idea for this proposal was to center on recognizable elements but not letting go of that abstract-glitchy look & feel. Sadly this proposal didn't make it to the final steps of animation.

THIRD ROUND STYLEFRAME PROPOSAL

The idea for this proposal was to make it more of a collage of elements using mostly black and white backgrounds and different elements, shapes and lines interacting with one another. Sadly this proposal didn't make it to the final steps of animation.

FOURTH ROUND MIXED STYLEFRAMES PROPOSAL / FINAL VERSION

The idea for this proposal was to keep it simple, readable but eye-catching. Recognizible elements, data and textures with a glitch reveal treatment that makes the elements more dynamic for animation and transition.

Final version of titles for DECODED MIT Technology Review
