We believe that European cities can imagine a sustainable future only going through a social innovation.
Only by intensifying relationships between people and improving their quality of life.
Fortifying the sense of belonging within a community and a territory.
Improving the exchange between the different social classes, to reach a major collaboration.
Only in this way it will be possible to act and manage a change for a less consume of energy and to preserve
renewable resourses.
THEME AND OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT
The aim is to define a new residential area according to the theme proposed by the competition to find the solution to a specific landscape.
Even though the project is designed for a small specific area of Turku, it could become a sample for a major part of the city’s suburbs.
For this reason, we have designed, according to the criteria of the competition, a quarter tailor-made for young families but also as an example for the entire population, divided into different ages, according to the annual demographic analisys.
