Creating a New Hospitality Box for Yokohama at Chelsea
CREATING A NEW HOSPITALITY BOX FOR YOKOHAMA AT Chelsea FC

Yokohama, a Japanese tyre company, became new shirt sponsors of Chelsea FC in 2015 replacing the previous sponsors Samsung, with this they also took over the Samsung hospitality box at CFC. Samsung had been sponsors for a number of years and their box was very tired and needed major modernisation, we were approached by Yokohama to design and then build this box refresh.

The box was designed to be clean and modern and is reminiscent of corporate hospitality at motor-sport events, which meant a very clinical aesthetic with a focus on gloss whites with carbon fibre elements which also helped to keep the space looking bright.

A key aspect of the the suite was that it needed to be mutli-use, either as a relaxed lounge area, a dining set up or as a meeting room. This was achieved by using pneumatic tables that could be raised and lowered to form a coffee table/dining table, the bench seats on either side of the room had storage cupboards under each seat which could fit the coffee tables inside to store out of site when the room was to be used for meetings.
