Recently, Thailand built a gigantic, ultra-modern airportwith stunning architecture throughout. Unfortunately, their branding didn’t match the airport’s new attitude. For the focus my class, I decided to redesign the identity in order to better represent Thailand in an international setting.
The main challenge was to create a respectful design that appealed both to their central culture and represented its rich history to all travelers passing through this amazing new airport. The mark is a result of a couple weeks of sketching and exploring concepts. Ultimately it was inspired by several characters in Thai, as well as the feeling of progress and speed, in order to match their modern makeover.
