Although some might call the Caterham Veritas extreme because of it curvy body, missing windshield, and loud engine; the veritas is simple in many different ways. Bolts are exposed, fixtures are machined from solid pieces of aluminum and simply bolted onto different elements. You can tell that things are put in place just to make the car work. The engineering shows. Simplicity is what I wanted to focus on for this project.
The final concept has simple lines that communicate the bold stance of the car. Elements are held together by exposed bolts borrowed from details found throughout the car. Detailing of the face was inspired by elements found in the wheels and headlights.
