When he was 23 years old, Pauli lost his right leg during a motorcicle accident. Duding an episode of microsleep, he slid along the guard railing, and at first he thaught he only cut himself, though it seemed to him a cut while shaving hurts more. When he was told in the emergency ward what had happened, he used his hands to feel around the area where, only a few hours ago, his leg had been.
This was the moment that changed Paulis whole life, in which he decided to always try to think positive.
