Jia Hao is the son of a sea captain on the Maritime Silk Road. As the only kid on a trading ship that sees a different port every season, he doesn’t have friends or anyone his age to talk to. Jia Hao’s  father, Captain Zhu, is a notorious trader on the black market, so that probably doesn’t help his situation much!
