GLX - Green Line Extension

The much anticipated Green Line Extension will provide light rail transit to some of the most densely populated urban communities in the Boston area. Seven new stations are being built along the existing commuter train corridor, and all require careful integration with existing neighborhoods and infrastructure. The featured design for Washington Street Station was inspired by the site's industrial surroundings and the existing massive stone block walls that were to be reclaimed in various ways in the new site.
