I was invited to work with Adobe on the Adobe live show in Paris where I was filmed live for two hours a day along with presenter Michael Chaize. I was commissioned to create a unique piece of work live on air whilst interacting with the Adobe Live community, talking through my creative process, entertaining and hopefully engaging with Adobe's wonderful creative community.

The brief was completely open to interpretation so I chose to create a book cover for James Ellroy's classic 'LA Confidential' basically because the artwork for his covers have always been notoriously bad. I wanted to create a simple, noir style graphic, starting from the base of a custom-built grid. On top of that I built the rest of the design around that. Using a minimal colour palette, I highlighted a select few objects that had meaning with the book and pulled these to the foreground to make sure the hierarchy worked in harmony. These included the LAPD building, old school cameras, guns and money.

You can watch the Adobe Live videos here to see how I created this cover.
