Back when I was training, one of our medical illustration assignments was to illustrate
a surgical instrument of our choice using Adobe Illustrator. I went through a lot of
different instruments and spent some time practicing in Illustrator before settling
on Kocher's forceps.

Here's a collection of some of the prep work I did for this piece along with some process shots. The piece was finished off with some final touches in Photoshop.
